CONCEPT : Through a temporary contrat for the sponsoring of a cow selected in the herd, MAVACHAMOI offers each and evryone, in particular townspeople, the possibility to participate physically in the life of a medium-size mountain farm and to acquire at a preferential price genuine goods produced on the estate. THE ADVANTAGES OF A SPONSORSHIP ARE : A cow of your own ! The one you will have chosen for the duration of the season or one month and with which you will surely have an ... unexpected relationship ! Cheese from mountain pastures and other high-quality farm products at a special price which you can offer someone, or savour togther with your family or friends. Get personally involved in this alpine economy which is indissociable from nature and eco-tourism. The possibility to establish privileged contacts. To discover with your family, or your friends, the numerous activities which shape the life on the mountain pastures, the milking of your cow, the manufacture of cheese over a wood fire, the ripening in the cellars, etc. Lastly to get a personal vision of the what mountain agriculture is all about. HOW TO SPONSOR ? You simply choose and reserve a cow among the ones which are available and which you'll find by clicking on "Herd".Once your reservation has been sent and confirmed by the landowner, and your payment has been duly made within the required time limit, you shall then be considered a sponsor of your cow for the chosen duration: one season (lasting 4 month from june to september) or for one of the 4 months mentioned above.YOUR RESERVATION BECOMES THEN A CONTRACT WHICH BINDS THE LANDOWNER AND YOU AS FOLLOWS: THE LANDOWNER PLEDGES: To accompany you during your first visit, to show you around the estate, to introduce you to the personnel and to show you the location of your cow.To offer you at that time a light welcome meat.To send you a certificate of sponsorship including a picture of your cow.To offer you his mountain pasture cheese at the price ofCHF 16.-- a kilo.To explain to you the nature of your work (about 4h) which you will contribute on the estate and set the dates for this work. (This obligation is not required for sponsorships lasting only one month). To give you information on the Web about the estate and in particular about your cow. YOUR COMMITMENT : To respect the environment, the people and the animals.To accept the General Conditions of the contract and the advice given.To carry out the work agreed upon beforehand with the landowner (4 hours maximum, people "mad" about it can do more !). Depending on the requirements at the time and the instructions of the landowner, this work will consist of looking after the pastures and enclosures, preparing the fire wood, participating actively in the raking of the hay, etc. There's nothing like work to fit in and get a better understading. COST OF SPONSORSHIP : For one season : CHF 380.-- per cow For one month : CHF 180.-- per cow GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE SPONSORSHIP CONTRACT : We particulary recommend good walking shoes and clothes suitable for the mountain and the respective work (protection against the rain, spare clothes, gloves, etc.).The sponsor shall be responsible for his/her conduct on the mountain roads and for the parking of his/her vehicle. The sponsor shall also be responsible for the supervision of the accompanying children. If the sponsored cow is removed for whatever reason, the terms of the sponsorship contract shall remain valid for its duration and the sponsor shall be entitled to the amount of cheese which he/her ordered at a preferential price for the delivered weight.
